About Me

Hi! I'm Elise Olmstead and the artist behind Hippie Kitten Studio! I enjoy making cute and wholesome designs inspired by the forests of Appalachia, farming, animals, cottagecore lifestyle, hippie fashion, mushrooms, magic and tarot cards. Greeting cards are the main product I design and sell, but I also love making vinyl stickers and fine art prints!

Custom portrait illustrations are also one of my favorite kind of commission and make great gifts.
All of my products are gift-able and share-able, with the greeting cards especially tailored to my personal mission statement. My mission is to make people feel loved, and know that they are lovable just the way they are.

I love the simple joy of sending a card or letter to an old friend just to remind them that you care. I admire the time and gratitude of a thank you card, appreciate the sentiment of a Christmas card displayed on a mantle. Most of all, I think nothing beats the feeling of warmth and love that comes over you when you see something cute--which actually induces a flood of oxytocin and a sense of love or bonding.

I hope my greeting cards, stickers, and art, can help you share this feeling of warmth and love with all your friends and family.

I live in the mountains of Capon Bridge, WV with my husband Taco, my five year old son Freeman, and family dog Leo. I am a homeschool mom and my husband is a farming consultant. We both formerly worked in the music industry, organizing our music festival The Mad Tea Party Jam and publishing a monthly music and art magazine called The Jamwich. I directed all of the magazine content and designed the layout each month. I still enjoy doing graphic design for event posters, marketing materials and logos!
Thank you so much for visiting my website and taking the time to look at my art.
